Course outline
First day: AHA BLS

The American Heart Association (AHA) BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

Duration: 4-5 hours

Class size:
Maximum class size is 6 students to provide the best learning experience.

After Registration you will be provided with the AHA BLS Provider eBook which contain all the necessary
materials that are needed for the course exam.

Completion Criteria:
You need to pass 2 exams in order to complete the course.
The first exam is theoretical containing MCQs regarding topics discussed during the course and in the AHA BLS eBook.

The second is a Scenario Based Skill test in which the student demonstrates that he mastered the BLS skills taught in the course.
Upon completion you will be provided with a course completion BLS Provider Certificate and wallet card.

Second day and Third days: ASHI/HSI ACLS

American safety and health institute Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course (ASHI/HSI ACLS)
DAY 1 / 5 hours

Contents:
-Describe a systematic approach to the initial

emergency care of an unresponsive patient.

-Explain the differences among respiratory

distress, respiratory failure, and respiratory

arrest and describe a treatment plan based

on the severity of the patient’s respiratory

compromise.

-Explain and demonstrate the equipment used in a real life ACLS Scenario

-perform the necessary skills in the initial

emergency for:

  1. High-quality BLS (CPR/AED)
  2. Respiratory arrest

-Describe the ECG characteristics and initial

emergency care for cardiac arrest rhythms,

including mechanical, pharmacologic, and

electrical therapy, where applicable.

-Describe the ECG characteristics and

initial emergency care for narrow-QRS

tachycardias, wide-QRS tachycardias, and

irregular tachycardias, including mechanical,

pharmacologic, and electrical therapy, where

applicable.

-Describe the ECG characteristics and initial

emergency care for symptomatic bradycardia,

including mechanical, pharmacologic, and

electrical therapy, where applicable.

-Describe the initial management of a patient

who is experiencing an acute coronary

syndrome.

DAY 2/ 5 hours
Contents

-Perform high-quality skills and demonstrate effective case management as a resuscitation

team member and leader using high fidelity training manikins to provide excellent simulation to real life scenarios.

-Theoretical and Practical Exams covering all necessary ACLS Knowledge and skills.
Upon completion participants will be provided with an accredited ASHI ACLS provider card and certificate.
